DIRT TRACK NATIONAL SERIES RETURNS TO ORIGINAL FORMAT - May 10, 2013
The 2013 CMA National Championship series will return to its original format of selected events being designated as "nationals".
"We have wanted to take this initiative for some time, to move the National Series up a notch in status, save a little money and travel time for riders contesting the championships at that level, and offer the chance to win titles to a larger number of riders, especially those who do not live in South Central Ontario", stated Marilynn Bastedo, CEO.
"The addition of an event in Quebec in 2012, after an absence of several years, provided the opportunity to make this decision".
At the same time, the Ontario Championship Series, which will include all events organized in that province, will result in provincial champions separate and distinct from the National Champions in many cases. It is hoped this will increase interest at this level from riders and potential sponsors.
As soon as more than one event is sanctioned in Quebec, the CMA will declare provincial champions in that province.
A new feature at this year's races will see the current leader in the Open Expert class carry a special number plate in colours white numbers on a red plate. The individual rider displaying the plate can change from event to event depending on the points standings.
We are also very pleased to announce that Winston Grosse has been named as the official CMA Dirt Track photographer. A photo of the week will be featured on our website.

LES SERIES DE TERRE BATTUE NATIONALES REVIENNENT A LEUR FORMAT ORIGINAL - May 10, 2013
Les séries de Championnat National CMA 2013 retourneront à leur format original où des épreuves sélectionnées seront désignées "nationales".
"Nous voulions prendre cette initiative depuis quelque temps, rendre les Séries Nationales un peu plus prestigieuses, permettre aux coureurs qui participent aux championnats à ce niveau d'économiser un peu d'argent et de temps, et offrir à plus de coureurs la chance de gagner des titres, spécialement pour ceux qui ne demeurent pas dans le sud de l'Ontario", déclare Marilynn Bastedo, directrice générale.
"L'addition d'une épreuve au Québec en 2012, après plusieurs années d'absence, nous a fourni l'opportunité de prendre cette décision".
Dans un même temps, les séries de Championnats en Ontario, qui comprendront toutes les épreuves organisées dans cette province, résulteront en champions provinciaux séparés et distincts des champions nationaux dans plusieurs cas. C'est à souhaiter que cela augmentera l'intérêt des coureurs et potentiels commanditaires à ce niveau.
Aussitôt qu'on aura plus d'une épreuve sanctionnée au Québec, la CMA déclarera des champions provinciaux dans cette province.
Un nouvel aspect aux courses de cette année verra le champion présent de la classe Open Expert porter une plaque spéciale de couleur rouge avec numéros blancs. Le coureur déployant cette plaque peut aller d'une épreuve à l'autre dépendamment des points accumulés.

2013 MINI ROAD RACE NATIONALS KICK OFF ON JUNE 9TH - May 10, 2013
Prairie Sport Riders Association hosts the first round of the 2013 Mini Nationals in Regina.
The 8 round series will make the usual stops in Calgary, Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Chilliwack and Quesnel, BC and Martensville, SK. A second event, which will be the final round in the series will be held at Stratotech Park in Fort Saskatchewan in a farewell and thank you celebration of the track which will close on November 1st for land development.

LES SERIES DE MINI ROADRACING NATIONALES 2013 DEBUTENT LE 9 JUIN - May 10, 2013
La première ronde de Mini Nationales 2013 se déroulera à Regina, Sk et sera organisée par "Prairie Sport Riders Association".
Les séries de 8 rondes se dérouleront comme à l'habitude à Calgary et Fort Saskatchewan, en Alberta, Chilliwack et Quesnel en Colombie Britannique et Martensville en Saskatchewan. Une seconde épreuve, qui sera la dernière ronde des séries, se tiendra au parc Stratotech au Fort Saskatchewan, et servira de célébration d'adieu et remerciement envers la piste qui fermera le 1er novembre pour développement de terrain.
Le calendrier final se déroule comme suit:
